Teachers' Responsibility
1. The teacher should be fully responsible for students’ studies, disciplines, safety and all the activities in the classroom. The Administrative Committee and PTA will fully assist the teachers and support their work.
2. The teacher should love the students, and should be patient, confident and responsible to the students while raising their interest in Chinese study and their deep love of Chinese culture.
3. The teacher should closely follow the school’s general syllabus and outlines to carefully prepare his semester teaching plans and lesson plans, make students as the center of teaching process, make teaching lively and make entertainment a medium of education.
4. The teacher should evaluate the students’ studies timely and accurately. Based on the syllabus and around the students’ characteristics and teaching practice, the teacher should evaluate the students’ studies in use of different ways, such as tests, exams, competition, Chinese games, report-back performance, etc. and make amendments on his teaching methods according to the evaluation results.
5. The teacher should be capable to control disciplines in the classroom, maintain the desks and chairs as well as other items in the classroom complete and in good condition, and prevent the teaching environment from being interrupted and polluted.
6. The teacher is required to arrive in the classroom 5 minutes before schedule, and to be the last one leaving the classroom. He should start and conclude each lesson on time with no more than five minutes between two class-hours.
7. The teacher should make it his number one responsibility to raise quality of education, keep himself professionally improved all the time, actively participate in all the exchange activities including teachers’ training by the headquarters, experience exchanges held by our own branch, and other inter-grade or inter-class exchanges, and compile supplementary teaching materials when needed.
8. The teacher should keep contact and maintain communicating with the parents, hold teacher-parent conferences timely, keep close contact with the class-parent, organize the students in various activities and expand and optimize the environment for Chinese studies.
9. The teacher should keep close contact and actively coordinate with the Administrative Committee. Some examples include distributing the school’s requirements to students and parents on the 1st school day, attending teachers’ meetings, open house and other teacher’s sample classes in a timely manner, actively participate in or organize all kinds of competitions, end-of-year report-back performances and prepare students’ school reports.
